Hi,
Looking for two programs of some sort capable of doing the following :-
First, I'm after a program that will convert different types of documents into .PDF files. Would like to be able to convert the likes of Word docs, Excel etc. If there's one out there that can convert Office 2007 Word .docx files, even better.
Secondly, a friend of mine has a visually impaired daughter who is starting to use their PC more and more but gets frustrated sometimes trying to read things.
His old PC had some sort of plugin/addon for Office 2003 that allowed her to listen to .doc files but his new current PC has Office 2007 installed and as far as I can tell, text to speech only works for Excel in that.
So is there a prog available that can convert documents from text to speech that is simple to use. Preferable one that is seamless in operation and doesnt require a document copied and pasted into it or opened up within it?
If anyone knows of some sort of plugin for Word 2007, that would be even easier for her to use. I see from Googling it that there is some sort of method using Macros but it looks a little complex for a kid to use.
Ta.
