Is there any sort of program that I could use to capture the audio stream from a program running in windows and output it to wav?

Im doing a 2d gaming assignment and Im trying to get the music from an old msx game called kings valley, but i coudlnt find it anywhere on the net and i havent been able to find anything yet that would let me do this.

I already tried putting the audio out into mic in and using fraps. Fraps wouldnt even start.

it does, click the dropdown for the recording source

somtimes its called 'what you hear' or 'wave out' or 'wave', try recording on each setting until it works

If you have a video of the game, or have recorded from fraps then you can use vitualdub and save the WAV from the video.
