Project 'Add Power'!

Typical, I decide to have a couple of days without looking at a PC and this thread pops up, what makes it worse is i was down your way on Friday wasting V-Power - could have lent a hand! Great to see this finally happening Mark, i know you've been trying to get it sorted for a while now. Looking forward to a ride in May :D

Will was grinning in the passenger seat and so was I, so it must be doing something right :D

Its nice to know you two are comfortable enough to sit on each other's knees, but shouldn't one of you be driving? :D

Odds and sods jobs done today, made some mounting brackets for the washer bottles new location, extended the washer hose & wiring.

Tryed a 1.6 ICV but that hasn't worked so need to wait for the 1.8 one to turn up, other than that it was a case of washing an polishing the car (thanks to el for the elbow grease!)

New washer bottle location and fixings :

:( you should have droped in, let me know next time you're around this way!

Hi there

The car looks stunning m8, loving the alloys.

When you take it for the first run don't be too alarmed if the supercharger sounds like its grinding, though not sure if yours is a twin screw or not, but its normal until they are run in a little.

When I first started mine it sount like their was gravel grinding in it, sounds quite scary and if I had not known to expect it I'd have turned my car straight off, but as such 10 minutes later the noise was beginning to go.

Looks great and on the first drive take it easy, don't be too tempted to go *** until you have datalogged it and checked all is correct. I also ran mine in for about 500 miles before going full death, not sure if you have too but I was just pampering the car. :)

Cheers matey, waiting to get the thing running is really driving me mad, but good things come to those who wait.

I've had it started i know it all works but the engine will only stay on with some revs on it, sounds really good.

Might spend tomorrow extending a last bunch of wires and see if i can find a car shop open that sells silicon hoses and some clips for the water line.

Well the weather has turned on us all today, couldn't be bothered to push the car into the garage so went shopping for some bits instead :

Ended up in demon tweeks, nice showroom, quite a few chavs though, which is to be expected i suppose.

Service from behind the desk was good, told the guy what i was after, he told me what he had on offer, wanted red silicon hoses really BUT they didn't have any only blue, was quite shocked really, also i wanted a new K&N filter but they also didn't have any in the size i needed so instead i'm going to run a pipercross and see how that works out, if its pants i will bin it and buy something else instead, the parts took ages to come to the desk for collection, i think someone made them in the shed behind the shop!

So £130 later i walked out with these :

My plan is to cut the bends down which will give me upto 4 'couplers' to use on the rest of the system, then i will have loads of the smaller blue silicon pipe left to do the rest of my engine bay, clearly this now means my crossover tube needs spraying blue
