Project Android

I've just sat here for the last hour looking over the project with some amazement, looks really good, and a big leap for custom computers.

My only question is, if you knew how many hours you would have to dedicate to this project and how much effort and money. If you were sitting at the beginning again with a mannequin and a Jigsaw Power Tool, would you do it all over again?

Also one more annoying thing I've thought of is that the Android is meant to be on the edge of technology, a beast in computing. However, with this project going on for over a year, the Motherboard, graphics etc must all be well out of date and you must be sitting there thinking, hmm.. If only I had of chosen a larger mannequin then I could have fitted SLi/Crossfire in there and sold this bad girl for a lot of pounds!

What d'ya mean a mannequin from Evans window of some other 'Big Girl' clothing shop :D

Anyhew... Messiah's off busily taking photos of bugs (and generally faffing) to worry about this project anymore!.. :(

dohhh! I'm a noob to the forum and was really enjoying reading through this build.
Shame no more updates, it would have been a great piece of work!

Same as Naamiko said though, it will be old kit now!

I think it's probably in the dustbin by now. It's been over two years!

Nope. Its in the attic at my parents house. I now live in a flat where there is no facilities to work on a project like this. And as for peoples comments about the computer spec; It was only ever intended to be a torrent box with a bit of voice recognition type software, so it didn't need a huge spec. Also a big spec means bigger PSU, more heat etc etc. Anyway, don't hold your breath on updates, but I've not written it off yet. It may be back within the next decade. ;)

Ahh this bad boy again! Ive been waiting so long for this and am so needy of updates im actually considering undertaking a similar project!
