Hello!

Decided I may as well get some of my own pr0n creations up on here.

Here is my latest system that is still under construction.

Sabertooth i55
i3 530 @ 5.2ghz
5850v2 DirectCU @ 1100/1300
4gb 1600mhz G.Skill Eco 1.35v cl8
500gb sammy F3
800W Fractal Design Newton R2 Modular PSU

Been testing with above cheaper hardware ready for the big guns. These have just been installed and tests are being performed.

P6T Deluxe v2
i7 920 @ 4.92ghz
2x 5970 black editions @ 1090/1280
12gb 1866mhz OCZ reaper
2x X25M 80gb raid0
SST ST1200 Silverstone Strider 1200W modular PSU.

As you can see, old school Lian li PC7 III powder coated white with white enermax clusters and a dual blow port in the roof. Internal black powder coating.

100% cables braiding.

Modified Vapo LS running R404a and R134A combined Gas (I believe) currently holding the 920 at -36C Loaded Prime95 8 hour stable :)

Comments Welcome :)

At first I thought "That is a thick bunch of wires... is it the 24 pin?" Then I saw the inside and  NICE!!! And that's a mean overclock!!! Going to try 5ghz on the 920 as well? Any pics of that mean CPU cooler ;)?

is the board bclk limiting the 920?

very good temps

how loud is the phase out of interest?

that cable braiding is very neat.

Bclk limit is 236 which is what we are at at the moment to get 4.92ghz.

Even with a 12 multi I get 236bclk which is a shame. Looking maybe for a classi or I may just save that £400 and sell the 920... look at getting myself either a 970 or a 980x. The 970 on a 200bclk should hit 5ghz with the right volts... the 980x can however sit at 133 with X multi should I need it.

Oh how I like spending moneys!!

i wouldnt bother with the classy tbh
very overrated

rampage III is hitting consistantly high bclk

what sort of board prep do you do for the phase?
is it just insulation putty or do you insulate the pins in the cpu socket too?

Indeed but is £330 worth it for an 920 that already sits close to 5ghz?

Would I not be better selling the 920 and adding that £140-150 to the £330 and having the best part of £500 for a 970 or 980X??

I have a full system consisting of a sabertooth, full watercooling, 5850, i3 530, 4gb ram, plenty of storage and a decent case + PSU sat doing nothing that I intend to strip down to bits ready for some sales shortly so with that in mind I may be better to just opt for the better cpus surely or would a rampage 3 extreme that may not hit 236blck be higher on the list of "to buys"?/

i guess

the bclk from the p6t would work well on a gulfy though

you are talking 25 multi for 970 so thats a theoretical 5.9GHz with your 236bclk on that board.
or you can spend the £80 more on the EE chip which makes the most sense.

may be the safest option.

Not seen this name in a while!

Never fails to produce a quality thread .

Stunning overclocks and aesthetics Andrew, a job well done me thinks! ;)

Thank you very much for that!! I shall be putting the 5970s under water shortly.. 3/4" OD tubing covered in black braid to match the phase unit and the indivually sleeved power cables. Hoping this will all be worth its weight in gold over the coming weeks. Time will tell!

Looking at this.. Does the 970 not hold a 26 multi with the turbo feature?

Just out of interest don't suppose u have an idea how much a phase unit would cost me and can u make it quite quiet if u custom build. Also know any good links for custom phase cause wouldn't mind building one myself :D.

I can direct you towards a number of builders of such systems over in poland? Their units are top notch and can be built to a specific requirement. SS units are not quiet however, adding good high qaulity fans to the units, over compensating on the condensor can also work to ensure a slightly quieter running unit over all.
