Project: [BLACK ICE]

A couple of small updates here...
Firstly... out goes the sabertooth with its i3 and the dual chanel ram...

In comes the so1366 P6TD Deluxe with i7 920 at 4.92ghz bench stable (4.6ghz 24/7 happy) at a chilly -46 idle, -37 loaded.

As you can see here, (excuse poor images, these will be retaken with a better camera another day) a lovely set of Asus voltage tweak GTX 480s.

And here they are installed and looking pretty :)

I took receipt of another lovely toy today too, an MSI gtx480, so many thanks to OcUK on a fantastic price for that!

And a small vantage run (yes PPU is enabled) to have a smile over :)

All that is left is to now either fit the classi and drop in an 980X or to have a look into another motherboard which will most likely turn out to be the Rampage III Extreme.

When this motherboard is fitted a full set of Koolance water blocks and back plates will be fitted along to each of the three GTX480s that in turn shall be cooled by an externally mounted SR1 120.4 with 8x Enermax Cluster fans and an MCP355 with tube resevoir.

The build still has a way to go but for the time being 2x 480s that run 875/1750/4200 on air not topping 74c loaded make for excellent gaming and none competitive benching on the glory that is an 3008WFP :)

*updates to come shortly*

It wouldn't suprise me with what's in it (at present) if it's up at £4000...

4x intel x25m 80gb
3x 480gtx
920
12gb ocz reaper 1866mhz ram
1200w silverstone st1200
P6t deluxe v2 and classi (both going for an r3e)
2x 1tb f3
Case and mods
SS unit
Blu-ray drive

Still in need of creating the water cooling section but with an r3e full cover block as well as 3x 480 blocks it'll be around £800 if not more.

Add to that a g19, x8, 3008wfp, amp with mission/kef speakers and itll be pushing £8k in total. Well worth it though :)

i wish i had that income to waste... but i suppose if it is done over time then it does not hurt as much when you see the bills:D

Waste?? Computers are never a waste... only when you go SS on an AMD chip are you wasting money :P

looks awesome, love the braided tubing

Lol Thanks... Its just a braid over the unsightly cladding that keeps the condensation at bay. It is rather partial mind I must say :D
