£1900 so far and counting.. including recovery costs.. £1000 for a spray and that'll be me finished.

Absolutely pathetic, but the car is too good to scrap. I'd rather repair it for that money than end up with a 1.2 corsa sxi/clio for the same price. Plus, my excess was a whopping £800.

Its a shame mate but we all make mistakes from time to time! Although touch wood I've never had an accident in 8 years of driving.

If you are going to spend £1000 respraying the entire car, get some facelift bumpers fitted to it at the same time and go for a de-chrome and facelift front and rear lights.

Couldn't afford Hellas :(

Nothing at the moment - Still got the rubbish ones. Not sure what to get but was looking at standard m5 ones. Thing is, as my car is SE, it doesn't have sport suspension - so would need to replace shocks and springs too.. getting expensive now! Not sure how much to lower by either.

Same with wheel size.. was thinking 17" as I currently have 15", I would like 18" but then I don't want to have to get the fenders rolled if I lower it. M5 fenders are wider in the rears ofc.

Any suggestions?
 
Depending on your tyre budget (Rears are £200 each :()...

IMHO best E39 wheel style ever :)

Style 42 is nice, though.

Be interested in your appraisal of those foglights though. As you can see I could do with a new nearside foglight..

Unlucky bud. Also unfortunate as I just gave away my old 18" M5 replica alloys last month could have gave you them untill you got some decent 18s they had tyres as well.

I think I still have 4 of the same alloys in your picture in the shed if you need them no guarantees tho :D
