PROJECT: FLAME ORANGE

Well I have spoken to DemciFlex and they are making me some custom dust filters for this, looking forward to receiving them next week :)

Noiseblocker have kindly agreed to supply me with 20 fans which I intend to paint orange and laquer. The fan of choice is the B12-3.

I'm not here to give a biased opinion about a personal build I'm doing. I have certain requirements etc, for example my case choice is not Antec, but I hold my hands up and say that Antec don't have a case which fits my requirements for this specialised project.

Same with the fans - I ended up breaking 3 fans trying to remove the fins from them in order to paint them. And lets be honest how many people actually paint fan blades? A small specialised amount only.

I'm happy to admit that our fans are good, but not suitable for my needs on this occasion.

The PSU is Antec as that 100% suits my needs to a tee. OEM is Delta and they are the best of the best in OEMs. There is a reason 8pack uses Antec PSU's to smash all his world records :)

Delivery has just arrived.

Fans are going to be used as general chassis fans. Orange LEDs FTW! 2 in the front, two at the rear :)

I'm happy with the rad finish to be honest, this is my first painting experience as well.

Better than my initial expectation anyway.

I bought the rest of my radiators today from OcUK.

Painting has already started.....

Even my tools match up with the colour scheme :) :)

Arty shot with the foreground out of focus and the background in focus lol...

Aye you need to start putting parts in the case now :)

I want to put the last 2 layers of orange on to my test fan, then I can do the other 19 fans.... (sigh)

Then once all dry I can put the rads and the fans into the case.

Motherboard and CPU will go in next week. Still aint got my GPU's yet, (or the funds for them at the moment)

The tube res I want is out of stock at OcUK, so gotta wait for that to come back into stock anyway first.

I am picking up my fittings tomorrow Monsoon Orange!

More goodies arrived today :D (well collected from OcUK)

And my test fan is finally dry and finished.

And all re-assembled

Now the weekend is all about getting another 19 fans painted.

Finally, thanks to Andy @ Nismotech and Niels @ Noiseblocker :)

Fans took almost a week to paint and get right. Was hoping 2 days, but that didn't happen. I'm very pleased with the results.
