Ok

After having my car for the best part of 18 months it is now time for it to have some more cash spent on it.

I await the "omg throwing money at an old car" comments and ever one is entitled to their opinion. :)

Brief rundown of what needs doing and rough costs.

Definite

Service £250
Fuel pump (255lphr) £50 (fitting only)
Wheel Refurb £250
New wing £250
ECU £300~
Figuring of why my suspensin clunks £1>1000
Rear diff mount £150
Wheel bearing £120

Maybes

Straight intake £150
New tyres (if required) some kind of potenza's £500

Ok so the work wont be carried out by myself as I do not have the talent however I still hope it will be an interesting thread throughout 2009, it also saves me posting a new thread every time I get something done. :)

Ok on with the pictures car as it is at the moment.

Wow, people are putting up threads for a service / new air filter now....

Not really much of a project? :D

It's looking nice mate are these FWD?

To be fair, if your suspension clunks it's going to be the fig8 links, I can't think of any other thing it could be so you may as well get both sides done while you can. It *could* be the rear diff mount but it's very unlikely.

Is there any actual gain on using the larger fuel pump? I've never heard of the need for them on faffs.

I didn't know the suspension was clunking, Si :(

Awesome car though, 4500rpm + dumping the clutch = :D

I would *never* do that on mine! value the drivetrain too much.

Read diff mount is buggered as well need to post that in the top, oh and the rear wheel bearing. :(

Changing the fuel pump due to the link, running more boost with a 15 yr old fuel pump isnt great so might as well change it.:)

how much do these weigh? quite heavy iirc?

1420kg~

Plugs are a pain in the arse to get to as well, you've gotta undo and wedge the chargecooler somewhere out of the way and try not to spill it everywhere :/

Stunning looking car cymatty the interior isn't too bad either. Drove my girlfriends dads (uncles second brother etc etc :p) Almera. Now that is a gash interior!

Always loved these cars as a nipper, how about some noise clips? Infact it would be nice if we had a thread where people just post audio's of their cars running.

Dont kill me if there is already one, cba to do a search :o
