Well today was a good day!!!!!!!!!
im proud to announce HyperX to my list of sponsors!
Im super excited about this as you can imagine! I would firstly like to start by saying a MASSIVE thank you to Krystian over at HyperX who saw my computer at I51 and was happy to help with the build!!
i wasnt expecting a parcel so soon as i was only asked for my address a day or two ago, but this afternoon there was a knock at the door and a nice UPS man gave me this:
I didnt have a clue as to what it was at first... 2 parcels? i hadn't ordered anything and certainly wasnt expecting anything.
the next minute, i saw the word "Kingston" and felt like a kid at Christmas!!!! BEST FEELING EVER!!!
so, i opened them both up and in parcel number 1 was the SSDs i was told i should be receiving... so why another box?!
well.... THEY SENT ME RAM TOO!!!!
The SSDs are certainly for this build, the ram, well, that is for something later
These HyperX SSDs are a limited edition white and black version and they look awesome, he selected these for me so that they would match my build better than their standard ones!
and they do! they look awesome.
hmmm, although they do look a lot whiter than the standard HyperX SSDs, they have a bit too much black on them still!
SO.... TIME TO MOD....
hmmmm, im sure this is an advisory only ....
aaah, luckily i didnt remove it, so im sure im still covered!
so thats whats inside!?!
hmmm, i wonder if the "X" comes off to make it easier to spray, Yup it does, now this was quite tricky, but the "X" is made out of metal which did make me a bit more confident.
the glue thats used is very good, took me a while to get the "X" off.
some rubbing alcohol and they looked like this:
time to mask off the area i dont want spraying!
elevated the SSDs so that i could do the edges as well as the top!
and started to spray!
The undercoat first...
Then THE ORANGE!!!
so... the final pics:
They arent 100% perfect, so i might actually put another coat on these, but i do really like them!
thanks again to HyperX for these, i cant wait to get them in my system!! Also, keep an eye out for my posts using the White HyperX Fury ram soon!!!

Haha, there are just a few very small blemishes that i noticed when taking the photo's (i only noticed after the pictures were on my screen mind)

And you are right, the price for these is ridiculous.
I am planning to get 1 or 2 of the 240gb ssd's.
aaah warranty smarranty, who needs a warranty!! yup, i think they are gorgeous looking drives, even before i raped them with orange!
thank you very much! once they are mounted the imperfections wont be seen by the looks of it, so i think i will leave them as they are after all!
haha, you know me mate! i bet im OCUKs wet dream. i buy loads of products from you... i dont think i have a warranty left on any of it

Haha, Great build man. Loving the orange.
Not only do you completely obliterate any warranties with orange paint but I'm sure you're exhausting OCUK's supply of orange plasti dip xD.
Assuming that is plasti dip, not seen such vibrant paint from a rattle can especially orange.

Some of its plasti some of it is just a normal paint. It depends what I'm doing tbh. The water blocks and rads are just a normal paint =)

Well, i can honestly say, today im very happy!!!
Ive been nominated on Bit-Tech for mod of the month (and im currently winning!!!!!!)
i was going to do a bit of a give-away anyway, but now now i definitely am, il probably do it after the voting finishes if i come first, i think i might feel rather generous lol
