This is a project log that I probably should have made when I first started building my PC. :p But oh well here we go,

I am using the Z77 chipset for this build which I hope lasts me a good 5 or so years (with a few minor changes here and the obviously) The build is primarily black and red themed (quite a lot to change for this to actually happen as you will see in the pic's below)

So the parts I currently have are:

Motherboard: Asrock extreme6
CPU: i7 3770k @ 4.5Ghz
Heatsink: Alpenfohn K2
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB LP @ 1600mhz 9-9-9-24
Case: CM Storm Trooper
PSU: Corsair AX750 Proffessional
SSD: Crucial M4 128GB
GPU: GT 240 (sigh)

(Pretty much what's in my sig ahah)

So currently I am running on air but soon I will be starting my first custom loop (woohoo!) and this is what I plan to put in it (with a new GPU and monitor to go with the rest of my shiny build):

The loop setup I have planned (slight change in where the 120mm Rad will be and the pump as well)

Ahah. I only just built this (my second build ever ^.^) and the itch to do more is ever there. :p once I start watercooling it will never end and I will never be happy :p

You can buy a windowed CM Storm trooper side panel if you want to save yourself messing up. I'm going 240mm rad in the top 120mm rad at the back pump will be where the 120mm Rad is in the pic (or in the HDD bay yet to decide)

Really? I got told it was safest to use the kill coil as well as coolant? :p will the XSPC tubing I've picked work with the compressions? :/ I was looking at the ID/OD earlier and was like uhmm this seems wrong :c

Yeah thats not a big choice :/ I really want the black that the EK compressions have. Hm what would be a good brand of tubing with the ID/OD the same as the EK compressions thats not primochill or Masterkeeler I think it is?

Yeah. I know the top can hold 2x 120mm though? I was thinking 1x 120 under the top part on pull since the ATX 8 Pin power gets in the way :/ with a 120mm pushing through the rad?

Well if you have the 120mm Pulling air through above where the ATX 8 Pin power is and a Push where the handle starts effectively in logic you would have 2 fans pusing air through a rad? Or at least the way I think it would work. Not sure about how the airflow would effect each other but through a 60mm rad shouldn't be that big a problem surely?

I see. Well I'll have the 3 GT's (one to replace the Coolermaster 140mm exhaust later to have a 120mm rad there) and the two on the top rad as exhaust with the coolermaster default front fans on the HDD's.

So tomorrow I will be getting:

(whats in the first post but modified to include everything I want)

Not sure on the fan controller but not much else I could go for really :p any suggestions? I was going to get a 2nd 240mm Rad but I wouldn't be able to afford the extra scythes with the budget I'm on :(

Yup I will make sure it fits. And I know... two of the most important things are out of stock >.< the side panel I ordered from Casekings isn't in stock either :/
