Hey all, finally got some of the parts for my new build, should be holding on to this rig till Ivy Bridge :P Parts i Ordered:

Asus Striker 2 Formula
Core 2 Duo E8400
4GB Ballistix DDR2
For £100! :D
And a WD Caviar Blue 500GB

Also i have a TX650 and a GX650 lying around, and a 6950/70 for the build :O

so far i have all the parts appart from the HDD (waiting for it to be delivered from OCUK) so all i managed to do so far is get some box shots and clean the board a little :P

My imageshack doesnt seem to load up? anyone else able to actually get on their site???
 
interested in this, once you get it up and running, do you plan to overclock? I have a striker II formula and cant seem to push my Q6600 past 3.0Ghz :( so would be interesting to see how you get on :)

Oh and you may want to add a fan blowing over the northbridge, gets VERY toasty (when i boot into bios it tends to be hovering around 80C :eek: but has been running at that for ~3 years, oh and thats with a 40 mm fan blowing over it...
 
yeahh ill most probs overclock, but it'll be a first time so dont wanna push it too far :P

and 80C?!?!?!? owch :O have i didnt get any accessorys with it but if mine runs that hot ill end up making an air tunnel with a 80mm fan on the other end! :P
 
hehee yeahh :P fan controller's never worked though -.- should be buying one soon if im gunna be putting 8 fans into it :P

as soon as i can get my image shack to work ill upload more pictures, ive got tons already and i havent even started building :D

hehe yeahh im realllyyyyy carefull with my money when it comes to pc parts lol gotta earn all my money from chores etc :P takes a lot of looking on the bay and sometimes they have great deals like that :P

ohh and forgot to say how much i paid :D i paid about £5 for it from a bootsale and £5 to get it RMA'd as when i turned it on it popped and had NOTHING to do with me wanting a brand new on with a box ;)

also dont think ill be able to put any picturss up till monday as im not at home wih my pc/parts :P
 
amazing whats there though! £10-£15 for a psu lol ive already got a TX650 but now i can have 2 systems, or ican sell the GX650 for £40-£50 profit :D
