Project Legato - Long build project *FINISHED*
That's the name Project Legato, meaning "project Legacy"
So i built my system over two years ago, more then impressed, but over time, technology has to move on so im going to be upgrading the cooling side of the computer (no hardware yet) Even with the current setup, the temps when gaming, rendering, bench testing, are all to high for me, so i want to stop that from happening
So.... jump straight into the build log, overkill water cooling? huge case? acrylic tubing? the lot, i want to be able to throw anything at my computer without having to worry about heat, so here is a breakdown of the components i will be using for this build:
Finished build (scroll down)
1 x Enthoo Primo black case
1 x Enthoo Primo Dust Kit
1 x 480 EK Coolstream Radiator
1 x 360 EK Coolstream Radiator
1 x 240 EK Coolstream Radiator
16 x Primochill Revolver diamond fittings
2 x Primochill 13/10mm White tubing (pack of 4)
1 x Alphacool Repack Duel VPP665 Pump / Reservoir
2 x VPP665 aplhacool single pumps
3 x Mayhems Pastel White Fluid
16 x Cooler Master 120mm Jetflo White LED fans
Thats the basic breakdown of parts i will be using for the upgrade.
Here is a breakdown of the parts i already have that will be going into the Enthoo Primo case:
I5 2500K overclocked to 4.8ghz / 5.00Ghz
2 x Sapphire R9 290X graphics cards (heavy overclock)
OCZ 1250W PSU (gold)
Seagate 2TB 7200rpm HHD
Crucial 32GB Msata
Gigabye Z77_UD3 Motherboard
8GB DDR3 Patriot Viper RAM (soon to be 32GB)
Zalman Fan controller
So thats all of the parts, now onto the design stage...
I wanted to make sure that i kept the white and black theme from my old system, links here for all of the work done:

Thats a lot of work over the two years
Here are some designs i mocked up for the water cooling, with white acrylic tubing as well as some fittings:
Quick diagram to show the flow, for those who dont know, the alphacool repack pump / res has 4 ports, two in and two out, here is a image to help:
Then here is how the flow should be within the case:
Thats about everything for tonight more to come over the next couple of months
