I want a 4k monitor and be able to max my games out on it as much as possible. Only let down is my current rig wont cope so I need a new one, hence the project thread:D
My plan is to have 3/4 gpu's going by todays hardware that's whats needed to meet my requiremnts. I will wait till the z97 and Haswell refresh come out, which is due early may. So heres the parts I currently have for my 4k rig:

SuperFlower Leadex Platinum 1200W Fully Modular "80 Plus Platinum" Power Supply
Samsung Blue-ray Drive
Samsung 1TB SSD 840 EVO
Gigabyte Titan Black Edition SLI

TeamGroup Xtreem LV "Frost Edition" 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 PC3-19200C10 2400MHz Dual Channel Kit

Don't get too excited, im not doing anything fancy like watercooling or customising the case. Its just gonna be expensive parts chucked into a huge corsair case:p
After following greg with his many threads and pics on his Sammy 4k monitor I really want one.
I wont be getting the 4 titans like greg, his pockets could reach past the black gates of mordor. But I was thinking of more of the lines of Tri-290 which should do the job:D

Powersupply box looks nice :)
Case coming Monday.

Watercooling may be a requirement to keep those cards cool. My two Asus R9 290 DCII need to be under water. I have to keep GPU and case fans on 100% while gaming to keep temps around 85C!! I can only imagine the heat off 3 or 4 of them!

Are you sure, cause its all fitting in a huge case and I was thinking of getting the sapphire 290 with there nice coolers. And also the cpu will have one of those corsair H100 jobbies so no heat there.

With the no rush approach to building the rig due to the Haswell refresh not being out. So far all my parts have been on ocuk weeky offers. Ill be checking everyday to see if the parts that I want are on sale, so I should be saving quite a bit of money:D

I love my superflower box it just oozes quality, never enjoyed so much looking at a psu:D

Current rig:
[email protected]
8gb ram
670SLI

You may think im crazy upgrading from the above spec, which aint no slouch. But with going to 4k and wanting to play games at max settings with 60+fps the rig wouldn't be able to do that. The motherboard can only fit two cards, and im gonna need 3-4 cards realistically to get what I want. Plus I haven't upgraded since September 2011, so yeah.....

Just come back from a little run on the motorbike and came back to see "Today Only Deal" had the 1tb SSD Samsung drive I wanted...bought one:D

I had 3 bags of haribo with my psu, so I should get some more with the case, and now the ssd :)

The case just arrived and its huge...extremely huge. I need to do a bit of DIY and cut the shelf above so I can fit it :p

Im gonna start with two gpus and if I don't get the performance I want then ill add another. Im not too worried about temps as I cant see it being a problem.

Edit SSD just come aswell :)

List of games I cant wait to test the rig on:
Crysis 3
Metro last light
Rome 2 Total War
Shogun 2 Total War
Arma 3
Witcher 2
Trine 2 funny enough I think will look the most stunning out of all the above games.

I think crisis 3 I will still struggle on, even with 2 titan blacks, but we shall see.
Going by gregster I don't need more than 2xAA so maybe crisis 3 on ultra and 2xAA will still get playable (60fps) frame rates.
