Project MEGA DEBLOW - Watercooled Desk Mod

Got myself a secondhand spare plate for the MECH and decided to spend a bit more time on the design, went with white & black to match the lighting on most my peripherals.

1, how it comes when new. 2, Sanded down. 3, White primer (x3 coats). 4, White base (1 coat)

After 6 days drying i sanded the paintwork down ready for sanding and buffing

after sanding and buffing, the paint now looks great with a mirror gloss finish

So, essentially, you've just done everything I have every wanted to do with regards to a PC.

1) Desk build
2) Watercooled
3) UV Green and Black

I have nothing to live for now.

Whilst it does look fantastic in every single way, not only concetrating on PC, but also on the desk aesthetics, this does mean that you've somehow gained access to all my ideas. :P

lol, I'm sorry mate,
Please keep on living so i don't run-out of ideas :p

Does that mean you're going to have to sell that dusty old desk pc now? :p :p

Not sure what will happen to current desk, thinking i will transfer parts to a case build so i will still have a working pc

i need something like this every time i look at the thread i want to build 1

We all want you too! :)

Your not alone. Lol. I just lack the courage to start such a project, and may be funds too. :p

Mark

I just went for it without thinking too much about it at the start, It was harder than i imagined it would be but a lot of that was to do with my leg problem.

Used every last penny i had on the build, wasn't much as im only on sick pay,
Would have upgraded my MB & CPU if i had a bit more cash to play with.

If you have the space Mark, why not keep a eye out for wood that you could use and start to have a play, a couple of months back me & the wife was passing a neighbor's house that had a skip outside full of very usable wood from old furniture i think,

I would have asked them if i could have it, but my shed is not suitable for storage atm :(
was tempted to take a picture and post on the forum saying "material for next project sorted" ;)

You know I might well keep a look out for some wood - it usually crops up somewhere, may well try something. What have I got to lose Lol.

Mark

Nothing to lose but your time, ether way it will be a good experience so worth it no mater the outcome :)

Just uploaded a vid showing 2X MECH mods & the Reaper mouse
Added some shading to the white MECH plate & Removed the shading from the carbon plate.

Unfortunately I get a bit nervous when filming lol

Thanks mrham & faceman

Like the new 2nd design :D
Spent a lot more time in the 2nd, so glad you like it ;)

The second mech looks even better IMO. Great job!

Thanks Jim, same as above^

Came out really well especially like the custom keyboard surround wish I had the time let alone the skills to build something like this

Thanks Pedaars,
The carbon wrap plate was very easy to wrap & paint, the 2nd was a bit more complicated mostly because of all the drying times, sanding & buffing :(

Packed them up ready to send to this years i52 gaming festival, so anyone going can see them up close, i cant go unfortunately :(
