we have limited our server to 48 players as i think that 64 just becomes completely mental and very very laggy.

My clan downloaded it and it rocks. we now run it on one of our servers with no lag. We have found that a lot of people are playing it the servers always got a game on. It's BF2 with all the good bit and not so much of the QW stuff.

Is there no update patch for this? I already have v04 and don;t really want to download a full 1.6 gb again/

Downloaded it and the 1.4 patch last night. Took forever, but it's all installed now. I'll give it a crack later, looking forward to this

fraid not - full download. (look on the bright side as a tester for this i downloaded 4 x 1.6gb builds in 10 days!!!)

yea its awsome dude!

i love it!

i cannot stop playing it, its so much more realistic then BF2 and BF2142, i just wish i could play as a sniper full time, as its sweeeeet!

Very happy I downloaded it - So much better than bf2 and bf2142, its almost getting towards OFP territory.

(Still think DC for the win though)

As someone who always plays sniper, and hasnt got a mike, would this still be worth getting?

because the kits are limited to like 1 sniper plus 2 marksmen per side (on .:iGi:. server), you might not always get the sniper kit.

Stop being a sniper whore and play some other kits!!

I have a massive problem with this, it seems that whenever I see someone and point my gun at them the name doesnt come up blue/red until after I've killed them :/ So the next time I wait longer, hoping it shows - and they kill me because they were red... I got about 4 teamkills around a flag point we were taking just because no names came up, and I died about 10 times after that because I was waiting for the blue name! :mad:

Dammit that's irritating.
And watching the map didn't help - so much going on that you can't pick out who you're looking at as a blue...

Only started playing this at 0.4 but it rekindled my love of online gaming. It's great fun, a decent server and teamwork are essential. Friendly identification takes a while but you'll get there. There's bit of a "lull" online at the moment with all the peeps trying to drive\fly without the required kits, but once everyone gets to grips with that it'll be back to it's fun self. Can't reccommend it enough

Thats the whole point - You need to work closely with a squad and know where friendlys are. It takes a bit of getting used to but it makes for a much more immersive gaming experience.

Just watched the trailer and it looks great! Loved the re-creation of the Apache vs Afghan/Iraqi insurgents bit at 1m30. I've got the original video clip and they've taken the audio from it

Anyway, firstly what do i need to start playing this? Secondly, how does it compare to Americas Army?

You need BF2 (obviously) and the latest 1.41 patch. I'd recommend reading the wiki guide and/or watching the training vid in the FAQ bit.

I'm gonna install and give it a try 2nite and I'm glad I'm been briefed on how it works cos almost nothing is the same as BF2
