* Project Teg *

It's been a long few weeks since getting back from my great american road trip, but for the first evening in a long time I could just sit down and do naff all.

The state last night about midnight, after the 2nd test drive and sorting her out so she steered straight and didn't have air in the new brakelines/calipers ;).

She is spot on and feels as tight as a 16yr old virgiiin ;):p

you need to update this mate tbh :p

anyhoo, was looking in here for any tips on removing the ******* ball joint from the hub?

mine wont budge, just need it out so i can swing hub off driveshaft.

Lol at your 'tools'! Claw hammer, sledge hammer, crowbar, ****-off 6ft iron bar. I assume each one played there part in getting it off!

What the the..... I used a workmate, my hand to hold the hub, and a lump hammer. Lots of penetrating plus gas and manly hitting had each one out in 10 mins.

What did you do to get it out with a breaker bar.... were you trying to get the tapered ball joint out of the lca or the whole ball joint out of the hub assembly?

Finally sober enough to answer, its been a long 3 days. X

nothing would crack it except that breaker bar :eek: managed to jack the LCA to an angle where i could lever a lip on the hub.
