Is it a cone filter in there?

Yep pretty massive one. With the cams it sounds pretty mad, like a toned down throttle boddied noise.

Oh yeah it revs to 8k now and when its sorted will make peak power at 7800 :D

This is a great car.

PLEASE keep it looking like it does above - ie, totally standard on the outside.

Hmmmm, maybe some nice light alloys, but defo nothing else.

Looks smart ;)

Custom carbon plate for switches... it's such a "Motorsport Innit" cliché but carbon is so cool you just can't resist can you? :D

Keep up the good work!

Future plans are:

- Quaife ATB diff
- More weight off (plastic rear window, non-sunroof panel, trim the dash, airbags out, roof lining out etc)
- Less barry exhaust, need to find a company that will do a 2.25" bore mandrel bent custom system with a plain oval tailpipe.
- Run brake lines inside car with hydraulic handbrake and adjustable bias valve.
- Set of lightweight track wheels with slicks keeping VTS wheels for sleeper road look.
- Mocal oil cooler, baffled sump and something to stop fuel surge when cornering very hard.

So plenty left to do and yep dont worry staying completely std outside :)

What do you reckon the 0-60 will be now? High 5's/ low 6's?

Don't know not that bothered as I don't go round raping it in first gear off the lights everywhere! But probably around 6.

nice project :)

whats the car like with that much power?

Not really that much power really, but the suspension and brakes make it a pretty competent package overall. Want the diff next though so I can hoon it out of bends like I could in my old vtr's.

The quaiffe diff should make an already very very good car an awesome car :D

Great project, would love to do something similar once codename MEGAPAY comes to fruition :p

Maybe not a lot, but i have a 106 gti, so 150bhp etc is quite a lot for the car :P

Managed to take it down to a disused airfield today and got a quick 70-140 (indicated) vid starting from a steady cruise in 4th gear so takes a little to get going.

vid here

You get the idea though!

You can see the needle slow to a crawl at around 132 but that is super impressive:D 160 brake would be amazing in such a light car, what is the weight of it?
