Got my mate to lower the back end today to match the front. A tad higher than the front to maintain std handling balance. Looks much better now without going to far and slamming it in the weeds. (sorry for cameraphone pics, only just got back and dark outside now)

Doesn't really warrant a new thread so just thought i'd throw a few pics of my mates xsi in here. Nice standard looking xsi but with vts engine, forged internals, big turbo, standalone management, quaife gearset and lsd, internal brake lines with bias valve etc etc still work in progress as he's banned but should be a monster when done. 750kg and 250bhp

 That's one BIG outlet on that turbo!!

Your VTS looks just like standard height though :(

Phil, you're coming to the MM? Nice one dude :)

haha, joking right?

Quad headlamps that might not even be staying on and some wheels off another peugeot. I'd say it does look pretty standard tbh.

Yeah its how I wanted it, little bit lower so it doesnt look daft especially when it got stripped. But high enough to retain compliance. It handles absolutely awesomely yet doesn't bounce about or bottom out over bumps.

Some good work there GT3 :)

Have you been doing all the work outside your house or do you rent a garage or something along the lines ?

Some videos would be awesome once it's all goo.

Ben.

On my drive or in my double garage if its raining. My mate did torsion bar though as I didn't have the tools or experience to do it. After watching him I reckon I'd give it a go in future though :)

If I had a suitiable camera then yeah some vids would be not a problem! Was thinking of putting a bullet cam where the towing eye is on the front.

Sorry for lack of updates, as usual waiting for parts to arrive! But did do a small mod today! ;)

Needs a remap as there are a couple of flat spots and it doesn't idle at all but first impressions are good. Left my mates Clio Trophy for dead :)

Should have used an anerobic sealant rather than silcone sealer. The stuff is an engine killer if it comes off (likely in oil) and then blocks the oil pick up strainer

Just read the whole thread.. what a great project.. My mates got a 97 VTS that he seems to be running into the ground and just can't be arsed to sell, I'll point him here, and see if he fancies making something decent from it!!

Gonna wack off the cam covers and trim off some of the excess sealent!

Remap thursday 16th :D

That orange Hermatite RTV is the exact same stuff that Peugeot use in their official fix for leaking rocker covers on the 106 GTI.

Well did get it from the citroen stealers!

Spoke to si and he just said it because it looked like too much was applied so gonna take cam covers off and trim a bit of the excess off with a scalpel.

Update! Not updated in a while and had a few things done! Sorry for crap pics it was nearly dark.

Pic showing ride height etc.

It has been remapped. Some problem with it at the moment though with breathing at top end so power curve is dropping off too early according to mapper. Only made 153bhp but he said get it sorted and he will map it again and will see over 160 which I am more than happy with.

That's looking really smart!

I love the seats and like the cold air box. Is it a cone filter in there?

Looks great from the outside too!
