If you ain't got at least a double garage don't bother..

LOL, good point. Fortunately I have a good friend who owns a spray shop and has more workspace than I can shake a stick at!

Probably the first car that youve posted that makes me want to cry i want it so much....awesome

For the record the MK1 MR2 is a piece of art.

Always thought the V6 that use put in them was a lot lighter than the 3S-GTE.

Size of that turbo and intercooler, foot down now and it might spool up by next week  :D

Imagine the kick when it did spool up :p :D

L0rdmike, iirc the it goes:

4a-ge - 1uz-fe (v8) - 3s-gte - <whatever the v6 is>

in order of weight from lightest (4a-ge) to heaviest, I could well be mistaken though, the v8 is all alu i believe hence the weight, the 4a-ge is cast block and alu head, not sure on the 3s-gte or the v6 but guessing the same...

Maybe I got the V6 and V8 mixed up.

Seen a pic of a MK2 Turbo where the GTE had been swapped with on the the V's. Looked like it was on stilts. :D

MK2 Coupe Prototype, looks so nice, mini dodge viper imho!

Think I've still got the Evo mag where they tested that and the factory turbo MX5, no idea if they were ever sold in v limited numbers but the review was quite cool, looked a bit like an old jag coupe :)

I've always wanted to stick a bonkers engine in an old phase 2 19 16v like my old one.

Something like a cosworth lump, rwd, whip the spoiler off, stick some coilovers and 4 pots on and leave the rest standard looking and I'd be happy :) One day hopefully, doesn't have to be a cossie lump but any 2 liter turbo type thing.

The V6 they use is the 3ZV-FE or the newer 1MZ-FE. The 1MZ-FE is lighter and newer but the 3VZ-FE has a stronger build and can be pushed to higher BHP.

the V8s used are the 1UZ-FE(4litre and the 3UZ-FE(4.3 litre). The 3UZ-FE is lighter and newer of the 2 but im not sure how much the weight reduction effected its strengh. But it still is highly tunable :D
The V8s are just a bit lighter then the 3VZ-FE IIRC.

This is the 3ZV-FE in the Mk1
