Morning Guys,
Yesterday i got all my bits through from overclockers. in all my excitement i have put it all thogether and pressed the power button being all nervous. to my suprised it fiered up 1st time
w0o0o i thought everything was going to well.
just fired up coretemp to check what the temps where like with the standard heat sink. to find all 6 cores sat at 78-82 degrees at idel.
proccessor is i7 980x.
i took the heatsink off to check the thermal paste and there was a even thin amount covering the full cpu. put it back on fired it up again and still the same temps.
im bit worried that maybe i dont have enough thermal paste or the heast sink is not working correctly?
anybody had this issue?
Cheers Simmy

Glad you got it sorted but I would think about getting a decent cooler now and Overclocking the nutts off your CPU. Have a look at the Thermaltake Frio.
