Laughing and ridiculing these things is just a defence mechanism. Demonic possession is real and has been happening for centuries, it's just far less common in the 'enlightened' West.
Zak Bagans, presenter of Ghost Hunters, has bought 'portal to hell' house
He says he wants to document living there and investigate claims of demons
In 2012 Latoya Ammons alleges that her and her children were possessed
Mother says her daughter levitated above bed, clear liquid seeped from the walls, and footsteps could be heard on the basement stairs
Doctors, nurses, a priest, and several police officers have all corroborated events which include her son walking backwards up a wall while in A&E
There are now new tenants in the property and the landlord has not received any further reports of demonic possession.
It's Daily Mail link; but, in this thread

And 'clear liquid seeped from the walls' surely suggests some kind of structural problem, right? You don't instantly see something like that and start singing "Who you gonna call?", do you?
There seems to be some confusion in this thread about the difference between demons, ghosts and aliens. It's nonsensical to say a demon is extra-terrestrial since they are generally ethereal/transitory rather than living on other planets like aliens, e.g. you wouldn't say that an angel is an extra-terrestrial alien any more than you would a demon. A demon [Sanskrit: raksasa, Arabic: jinn/cin; the three-letter] is a conjured or summoned spirit with malevolent purposes which can posses, influence or control humans. Ghosts are not always malevolent, can't posses people and are not always purposeful.
Hearsay = proof. Enough said.
then.......and walk "up the wall backwards".
"He flipped over and landed on his feet," they added.
"[He] had the weird grin on his face and began to walk backwards while the grandmother was holding his hand and he walked up the wall backwards while holding the grandmother's hand and he never let go.
"He flipped over and landed on his feet in front of the grandmother and sat down in the chair."
