You know the stuff, the anti scratch stuff that you get on new devices usually on the shiny or transparent parts.

Who leaves it on to keep your kit pristine?

I am a victim of this I must confess, still have some on my new TV round the bezel.

Guilty - My TV still has the casing on the bezel and on the frame of the panel.

I have justification though, I need to move it in the next few weeks and figured it would help keeping it pristine in the move.

Why would you keep it on? To make it nice and shiny for the next owner? Why buy something nice and new, presumably modern and pleasing to the eye only to leave it looking like crap?

one of my friends still has the plastic on her laptop lol
it's like a grid that sits between all the keys though so I guess it stops any crap getting between the keys

Why wouldn't you want to have it looking nice while you own it, leaving it on means when you sell it someone else gets that. You had it covered up, seems strange to me
