protective plastic, who leaves it on?

any stickers come off, don't see the point in keeping it on. if it looks super tatty in a few years il just buy a new one.

do you leave your mattress in the plastic sheeting too?

Ugh, take it off! I have had people bring me laptops to fix with the plastic still barely hanging on around the monitor and I can't understand why they don't take the filthy stuff off.

If something else is going over it like a case, I'll likely leave it on.

If it's going to be on the presentation side, then I'll remove it. If there is something that needs protecting, then I'll get a proper protector for it and not some cruddy piece of clingfilm left on by the manufacturer.

Its almost as bad as people who leave the specification stickers on their laptop!?

Bought a new laptop a month ago and before I even turned it on I had removed those stickers.

I think it's stupid that they're even on a laptop. I know what specs it has, I bought it!

I peel if it. It annoys me so much that I sometimes can't resist doing it to other peoples things as well.

I like to peel if off real slow and then when its just about to come off completely, I carefully undo my good work so I can do it again and again.

Bordering on compulsive, but at least you're honest about it. :D

I remove it straight away. However, with things like phones I replace it with a better long-term protective screen. I always use a case as well. I've sold 3 phones now and they've all been in mint condition because of it, it really helps with selling.

Off!

Even stickers on a laptop annoy me. Why does everyone leave them on? I don't care what the specs are after I've bought it!

The more you spend the less they plaster it in spec stickers so stop being a tight arse :p
I take it all off straight away, looks crap.

Off, straight away. It's like those stupid "bonnet bras".

So you're going to drive around in a **** looking car in order to protect it from stone chips so it doesn't look ****... *golfclap*
