Prototype

The game better be playable on my machine, having this expensive machine I wish to test as many new games on there as possible to try and justify the cost of it, and this will be one of those games to test it to full!

Got it and yea sound is really low.

Getting 70 fps on the roofs and such and about 40-50 when on ground fighting.

on a 260 stock @ 1920*1200

Using 360 pad m/kb don't seem to good

I recommend a 360 controller for this game.. Max res is 1280x800 IIRC.. another port..

If your graphics card has >512MB ram then you can set the res higher. Bit stupid really.

After playing the game..it's pretty meh. Not awful but the mediocre gameplay, bad voice acting and awful script writing is just...meh :p

my pc rapes this game

playing at 1920x1080, all max settings and 4xAA

q6600 (at stock, just remembered I've forgoten to clock it after bios flash :p )
4gb ram
260-216

buying this without a doubt

basically that means, buy a better keyboard mate :(

Quick question to those who have the game - picked it up today but I'm having a few problems selecting my current Res (1360*768)

The textures look pretty poor, and I'm running the game with all high details, 4 * AA and res set at the maximum selectable (1024 * 768). The FPS are solid however, but the games just doesn't look as polished as I've seen on screenshots.

Put simply, I'm using my LCD HDTV as an output screen with the ideal res being 1360 * 768, but that option isnt available in the game options.

My System spec is

Athlon X2 6000+
ATI 4670 512Mb PCI-E Card
4Gb DDR2 PC8800 RAM
250Gb SATA HDD (7200 RPM, 8Mb)
Windows 7 RC-1 OS

Does anyone have any advice that will help get this game to look as good as it should?

Many thanks
I do not have the game but I read somewhere that higher resolutions only become available to graphics cards with more than 512mb RAM. Check for any .ini or configuration files that you could modify - there has to be some way of getting around it. also try Googling for a solution.

Checked a few places - no cfg or ini file that I can find, however I'm at work now :)

Checked the activision forums, and it seems that a possible fix is to disable all unrequired HID devices in Device manager - may help some other folks?
I find it stupid that it forces you into lower resolutions as the game seems to run well on your PC.

Haha just played it, the controls for PC are pretty good tbh :D

Xbox pad on Monday though

my 360 pad as just finally died. RIP 2005-2009 :(

looks like im waiting till monday to play this properly now :(

Weirdly enough, according to Activision, if you only have a 512MB card (like mine), you can't select FullHD resolution (gaming on LCD TV @ 1920x1080).
However, when I go to the video settings in game, there it is

i'm running it fine at 1920x1080 all maxed with 4xAA, only noticed one slow down and that was when the cut scene switches to actual gameplay when you fight those big pink monsters at the start when they fall from the sky and bits of ground fly in the air.

i find the controls a bit hard on the keyboard, some combo's are awkward, eg: stealth consume you have to go behind someone and press F and E while following them so if your walking behind someone your going to be pressing ctrl + w then you have to hold F and press E at the same time. maybe its just me :D

i find its very much like wolverine and i am missing the leaping he does :( all in all its a good fast action game allbeit a bit repetitive and cutscene every 2 seconds.
