PS3 - 1.92 update...tomorrow.

Well, that's what I considered it to be when it was just on downloading some stuff.

I just left it on the XMB, downloading some files, but even then it didn't turn itself off.

I'd assumed that just not touching the controller for x number of mins, say 10 would (IMO) be a sensible number, would turn the controller off.

Has anybody else noticed their controller turn itself off at all?
If so, how long did it take?

I was wondering the same thing also. I was watching some Mp4 videos last night for 1 and 1/2 hours and the controller did not switch itself off using the 1.92 FW and also I could not see any option to enable/disable it in the settings. I would like to know if this is implemented as well.

Mine is the same.

I've left things running for a good length of time (a few times since the update) and the controller is still lit up ready and waiting.
 
I also did not notice video thumbnails, or is that only for newly released videos?

But I can't find an official statement about the chance, all I find is speculation like in this thread.
 
It has been revealed on several sites now that the 1.92 firmware upgrade did nothing to European PS3s. It's only to correct issues on USA/JP consoles.
