The design of the PS pad has always been flawed ever since they bolted analogue sticks to it in the only place they could, to quickly compete with the N64. Sony has just been too stubborn to change the design ever since probably because, to be fair to them, the design has become iconic. I'm not sure how anyone can argue that the design of the DS3 thumbsticks and analogue triggers are "good" though, they just defy common-sense ergonomics, almost as though they got the moulds the wrong way around
These days there are much better controller designs which highlight its flaws, if the 360 didn't exist I doubt anyone would be complaining about the pads.
To say it's flawed is just wrong. It's about taste and comfort. But my way is the right way and all that I guess.
It is, just like the 360 controller is flawed (awful D-pad).
I'm not retarded, so I can use both fine.
I don't exactly have small hands, so I can only imagine people mut be screwing their hands uber tight around the PS3 controller and complaining. It shouldnt even be in your palms, just each end resting at the base of your fingers..
The PS3 pad is designed for the generally smaller proportioned Eastern Asian market, it's just not ergonomically designed for large hands![]()
What is the biggest gaming age group though? Probably kids isn't it? With smaller hands. What percentage of kids play video games, compared to adults? 90% over 30-40% (these are just guesses BTW) So with that in mind, it probably makes more sense to have the controller a little smaller doesn't it?
Where can I get an Xbox 360 pad adapter for the PS3? I actually hate the DS3 now after using an Xbox controller with my PC for so long.
Even with the trigger adapters the DS3 is still crap for racing games :/
