ps3 controller problem

one of my controllers has a problem was fine other day.

ps button will not turn ps3 on I have to use the reset button on controller, once connected the ps button still doesn't work and have to turn off manually or with other controller.

I have connected via the cable and it still won't do anything when i press the ps button.

Any advice?

Got another controller you can try? Or any way to try that controller on another PS3? Shouldn't be too much of a problem with them being Bluetooth, unless you don't know anybody else with a PS3.

other controller is fine, just my original sixaxis one only works if I stick a pin in the reset button on controller to turn it on but the PS button still don't work.

really? It works other than the PS button surely there is a way to get That one button to work?

You ever opened a ps3 controller? It's a little more complex than older type controllers. If some component has blown or gone then I'm doubtful you will be able to repair it.

Open it up and see.

can still use it but will have to use other controller to exit game, not really a problem just a bit of a hassle.
