Now I am a massive 360 fan and have never been one for the Sony Playstation Brand but this certainly is bad news for Europe. But on the other hand it could be a good thing.
Think about it if they have had issues making the PS3 up till now and plan just the US/Jap release they may have a similar failure rate that the 360 had at launch or 6 months after launch. This would mean many dissapointed customers especially if they are as scare as "rocking horse poo".
So if they can iron out most of the bugs before it is released then there will be more happy customers here than elsewhere.
Plus it means that those titles which were planned for a rushed Europe launch will have an extra 6 months to tart them up further.
Now I think the 360 and Wii will have the main stay in the UK but I'm not sure about the rest of Europe.
I'm guessing 1 year from now we will probably see similar threads akin to the 360 with people complaining that their PS3 has died and they are waiting forever for a replacement etc etc.
Another reason for the delay certainly in the UK could be due to a lower than expected number of Hi-Def tv systems in UK homes which in turn would mean waiting that little bit longer may benefit them in the long run. Yes it may have an impact on which next gen format wins but Sony must have some corporate reason.
