I'm just gonna rent this, saving the pennies for Sega Rally![]()
I noticed a much better framerate and less bloom.
Wow!
This is a totally different game now!
I hated the Xbox demo of this game, it ran awful, felt cumbersome and i hated the over use of blur and HDR/Bloom.
The PS3 version runs very well, not sluggish anymore. Better colours imo. The blur is toned down, it actually looks good now.
The main reason i hated the 360 demo was the framerates, this is much better!
Only bad thing is that i noticed a few jaggies, not that major though.

Where do you rent your games?
I dont want to buy this game but i wouldn't mind renting it.
Thanks in advance!
Josh
I get them from lovefilm, though you might have better success at swapgame
Interesting to read.
on the basis of playing that, I've ordered the full game.
V1N.
I don't think it'll be the digital vibrance as that's desktop only isn't it? (I'm 99% sure it says that)I compared it to the PC version, running on the same TV, and the PC version did have brighter colours, I'd put this down to the digital vibrance![]()
i've never noticed these bad frame rate problems with the 360 version, yeah it dips sometimes but doesn't ruin the game what so ever. I must have bad eyes or something.
The games industry is having trouble with the 7 baby CPU's that the PS3 uses and the graphics processor is a complete pile of pap for todays games.
Not sure about official comparisons, but from my experience (and loads of others on here) the PS3 version runs smoother with hardly, if any tearing and no FPS dips, the overdone bloom has now been sorted too.Had any comparisons yet?
codemasters have also provided a 'better than the 360 version' of DiRT So how can this be when the PS3's GP is a 'pile of pap'?
I do think the 360 controller is a lot better for accelerating/braking though with the triggers rather than the shoulder buttons for the PS3 version.
Is this any good then? cba to download it to find out
I must say the trailer impressed me, I'm just lazy.. meh, it's the weekend

Sad to say this is going to have a knock on effect for other consoles because where games used to be developed side by side I'm hearing more and more that because of the PS3's limitations it has to be the lead platform. This means of course that its highly likely your XBox360 game will be a port of a PS3 game in the future rather than the other way around.
