I think its pretty much exactly the same as the old slimline but they've built the PSU into the console as opposed to having it seperate (the psu used to be nearly as big as the console itself).

I doubt software emulation will happen, sony aren't keen on pushing BC.

PS2 is still selling more than the 360 and PS3.

At least it was all last year, things may have changed post christmas.

Anyone who still wants to play their PS2 games and PS1 games. Considering the PS3 doesn't play them. It's been said, That the japanese one, The one that has Full Emulation hardware, Plays 77% of the PS2 catalogue, and that only means they run. It doesn't mean they run well. There's actually another figure somewher, that says a much smaller amount of PS2 games, Run upto speed.
