Modern houses don't always have enough chimney space nowadays
Just did a quick google and there was a suggested fix (don't know if it was verified to work or just a unique case) that if you take out the hard drive and put it in again in might work (instructions in the PS3 manual & youtube) alternatively could be a power failure issue and just send it back.
Thanks,i've just tried it but no joy.Sometimes it stays on but its not sending a signal to the tv,and it won't power off.
Oh well,i'll have to play with my mums new DS lite.![]()
Dont ring Sony, bring it back and get a replacement

Is that a 40GB version? I wonder if there will be more thread about dead PS3 to start popping up soon.
