From the Client statistics by OS page:
Code:
OS Type Current TFLOPS Active CPUs Total CPUs
Windows 151 158861 1624307
Mac OS X/PowerPC 7 8714 95314
Mac OS X/Intel 7 2696 7176
Linux 35 24907 215595
GPU 40 678 2165
PLAYSTATION®3 191 7785 8719

Total 431 203641 1953276

Which is all very good, though it is interesting to see that the GPU is showing about twice the TFLOPS per machine as the PS3 is  :p
This could have course be subject to change after the numbers settle down a bit ;)

not as good as windows SMP tho.
current prices for PS3 makes it cheaper to have a C2D system and run SMP (linux)

Well i didn't buy the PS3 to Fold@Home. It's just a benefit :) PS3 Folding client has a cool feature which shows you the other Folding PS3s on a globe though which i like.

yeah I like that feature - it at least gives you something to look at while you're trying not to play games on it :p

PS3 is just too expensive for my blood
if they had relesed the cheaper ver in the UK I may have bought it. tempted to get a Wii tho

The deadlines are short. I know that's to be expected for a high-performance client, but people who fold but also play a lot of games might find it tough to meet them...

iirc the WUs are short anyway

Aye, and the points are weighted against the PS3 (if they weren't, a PS3 would probably trash a whole farm of PCs).

What I like is that both the Intel and PPC Macs are achieving the same TFlops - but the Intel Macs have a whole lot less CPUs. That's progress I guess. :)

rich99million, wheres the news? Coming soon i hope :D i really want to see how much i've improved this week :)

ooooops - I kid you not :(

I know why I forgot though as I'm not working at the moment and the missus had Wednesday off so Thursday felt like a Monday :o
I'll get something sorted later tonight - will have to normalise all the numbers for 8days instead of 7 (doh!)

edit: I probably wouldn't have been able to do it last night due to the problems Stanford was having anyway - still can't believe I forgot it though, will program my phone with reminders for the next few weeks I think

don't worry about it rich - but we were are thinking that same as mikey ;)

Don't make it hard on yourself - just do a special edition 14 day news next week in which everone is a winner due to increased production stats :D

Use the time saved to tread your misses to a slap-up fish and Chip supper :D

Edit: I take it that your job is now offically no more :( what's it like being a kept man :p

Now that's not a bad plan (both the 14-day news and the fish + chip supper) :D

and lol I'm not really a kept man - more of a househusband with rapidly diminishing savings :o :p
new job will come along shortly - they always do
