PS3, is that real?

Just read PC Gamera and Assasins creed will be coming onto PC sometime in '07!

And the Grand turismo 5 screenshot doesnt look anything special to me.
 
Not that impressed to be honest. It's just a load of pre-rendered footage. It hasn't changed my mind about the PS3.

I intend to get one eventually, but until I see actual gameplay footage from a real PS3 I'll continue to be sceptical about it, I fell for all the PS2 pre-launch hype and was left feeling very dissappointed with it. I'm not falling for it a second time.

I guess the good thing is that if the PS3 does turn out to be as good as these vids suggest then I'll be pleasantly suprised. For me it's a case of keeping my expectations low so as not to be let down with it.

Not that impressed with the cost of the thing either, it's going to be the first major console release since the megadrive where I haven't bothered getting one for launchday. It's not that I can't afford the money, there is just something about the price that sticks in my throat. knowing my luck the PS3 will be amazing and I'll be left gutted on launch day for not getting one.
 
not impressed atall really i tht i would b wiv all the hype stuff but tht does nothing for me and the gran turismo 5 pic aint nothing special
 
Those videos are old, the motorstorm and killzone videos are just target renders from E3 2005. The latest gameplay videos of motorstorm look great, but not as good as that. Its best to wait until TGS next month to see some proper final gameplay videos.
Btw there are no proper pictures or videos of Gran Turismo 5 yet, just Gran Turismo HD, which will be released before GT5 to show off a few of the new features possible on PS3. GT5 is a long way off.

Lol another fanboy i can name at most 5 excellent games on the ps1 & 2 between them.
The rest all follow ups like tekken how can they keep selling the same game so many times.
To many peeps see graphics and instantly think oh that's going to be good game :o .
Xbox 1 was the same to many average or poor games released.
As for good games released nintendo seem to produce the better games

Also there is a video somewhere of a ps3 racing game where the car explodes and it looks excellent.Then the real ingame footage is shown oh dear what a let down.
 
Wow. There's a lot of "omgz ps3 pwns" talk in here. For starters, most of those videos are pre-rendered. And as yewen said, the PS3 is basically on par with the 360. So, stop drooling, start spelling and we're good to go :p

But what about your PC running something like GRAW, Oblivion, condemned?
I think its unfair to compair 1 game on on your PC and on a 360 tbh

PC's will be superior to consoles, the consoles have there time in the spotlight then fad away, but they are cheap as chips.
 
lmao at the motorstorm one, they release that, claim it to be real. Then left looking stupid when they released screenshots in game and also had a playable demo

No, I beleive when it was first released, it was a showcase as to what the PS3 is capable of. And they claimed it was real footage
 
isn't assasins creed coming out on 360 as well? pretty sure i read somewhere it was

and its rumoured that video ran on a 360 dev kit

Knowing sony and their marketing crap for the last lot of years its almost guaranteed all that stuffs pre-rendered.

Yeah in regards to spec, they're pretty much equal now dev's have realised all the drawbacks of the CELL processor (at least for their needs).

The game system was hidden in a stand covered by a sheet. Again, Ubisoft officials would not comment.

Before anyone says - I loved the PS2 (even though THAT had problems) and hated the Xbox (mainly due to it being a cheap PC).
