ps3 or 360 ?

It really depends upon what your friends use and if you want to use it to view HD movies (Blu Ray).

I have both, play on the 360 more as I have more friends that use live... but keep the PS3 for Blu ray playback :)

is there any difference graphicly ?

PS3 exclusives generally I find look better than 360 exclusives, but cross-platform bar a few examples everything is nearly identical. I would say after E3's showing the PS3 might have more legs in it than the 360 now, which is relying heavily on Kinect.

The only negative I've ever had against the PS3 is the controller, which I find poor compared to a 360 pad.

Calm down, google will only give other peoples opinions, and he is asking for ours.

Like people have said already, check out the exclusives, if you prefer Kinect over Move, BR player, pad preference.

I buy most cross platform games on the 360 because the pad is much better, but certain games I will get because of Move.

im asking in here, people on ocuk who have them, not the worlds opinion !

:/ You can search the forum then. This is the most redundant question on the forum and you didn't even help us by giving more details on your game preferences.

How do you expect a proper answer? Go watch some youtube clips of the differences between the two systems.

Looks like you have a pretty decent PC, most xbox 360 games come out on the PC.. so I'd say go for a PS3 for the exclusive games like Metal Gear Sold 4 and the Uncharted series.

wasnt that hard to give your opinion now was it robert, thanks

As a broad view, if you want to play games online with friends, the 360 has the far better online service.

Just look on Metacritic or something like that, go through the top 20-40 Xbox an ps3 games and see what takes your fancy. At the end of the day the graphics are so close to equal on average over the two systems, you should just look at the games and features.

I have both, my ps3 has not been used for more than 5 hours of gaming, all the games I want to play are on the 360. The PS3 is a fantastic blu ray player though!

he wanted opinions, that is mine and I own both, so he can use it or not why would you care? There is no need for you to turn it into anything else either :)

These never end well. Perhaps do a bit more research into the merits of both before rushing out to buy one; asking for advice on something the same day you intend to buy it is never a good idea anyway.

But that was his opinion, from this very forum :p

And to be fair this question does tend to come up a lot on OCUK, probably causing more tension than it needs to until the world explodes in an assortment of pink bunnies running around in full hd or something.

PS3 for me though - has most of the exclusives I like, is my only functioning bluray player at the moment and NGP / Vita connectivity in the future :) But then the 360 has some great games too ...

I'd rather him go read a proper in depth comparison between the two by someone that has spent a good amount of time weighing out the differences. Maybe I am just bitter with the amount of times this question comes up.

Have a read of these.

Graphically they're both pretty close. The PS3 might have more grunt but it's harder for the developers to harness it. The best thing in the PS3's favour is the Blu-Ray drive.

I've got both and I use the 360 90% of the time. I'm buying cross platform titles for the 360 purely because Xbox live is vastly superior.
