The 360 had one major fault, which is rectified by the manufacturer FOC.

Other than that, it is very reliable. I've had 2 360s now, for a total of 3 years, neither have ever broken.

So no, it isn't "the shoddiest electrical hardware item to ever be released"

Well I am fortunate enough to own both consoles. the 120 Elite and my 320GB PS3.

I have to say, the PS3 for me stands out in terms of design and graphical output (Ps3 Exclusives for me at least anyway). Plus it plays blurays!

Xbox360 though has a lot of good games. I bought it to play Mass Effect, Lost Odyssey, GOW2, Fable 2 etc etc.

Just my opinion.
 
tbh cant see it being a massive price drop even if they do. maybe down to £250 or so. If they are still selling well there is no reason for them to drop it, just look at the DS prices, not had a drop in how long? no need as they are still selling. Sony arent gonna drop the price if they dont have
 
From a reliable source friend that uses suppliers £199 in april for the lowest model.

From another reliable source the Wii price is going up, again from suppliers source.

Wow, that's weird I have a friend who also has 7!!!!

You would think after the 3rd or maybe the 4th he'd just give up. But OH NO. He just kept on going until he clocked up 7 BROKEN 360'S.

It sounds like I'm trying to BS everyone BUT ITS TROO.

I just rang him. He's got over 18 now and is on first name terms with everyone at MS support

Birthday today and thinking of buying a PS3 - does anyone know if the price drop in April is going to happen? If so I will wait until then.

Sadly nobody knows for sure but ask at the store you are thinking of purchasing PS3 from and see what their policy is, a lot of stores will refund the difference if there is a price drop within 30 days, I remember I got £50 back from my laptop when I checked on on this after seeing my laptop had been reduced.
