PS3 Update to ver 1.9 error please help (Error: 80710736)

Hi guys I have just recently changed broadband from orange to Aquiss! I am using the Netgear DG834G, I have UPnP enabled.

When updating the PS3 patch to 1.9 I get this error:

"An error occured during the download operation. A connection to the server cannot be established. (80710736) :(

However I can still use PStore and stream movies from my PC? :confused:

Can anyone help me please? I have checked on the net but cant really find anything :mad:

Obviously, because your allowing ALL incoming and outbound traffic for that IP address.

Looks like you hadn't correctly opened the ports..

You're "leaving the gate open" so to speak.

Not sure it's ok for a console to do, but if that was a PC then you'd be in trouble.

My advice is find out what ports you need to open, write them down and set it up that way. DMZ is the easiest fix, but not the best in the long run.
