The only thing I can think of that actually interests me that's supposedly region locked is 300 and I pre-ordered that from the US for Under £10 shipped... half the price it will cost in the uk! lol

the 300 isnt region locked. people are playing the us version just fine on uk machines:)

You said 'Ghost Rider' and 'goodness' in the same sentence, I'm confused? :p

I liked it :P Was good fun... if only to see once lol

Saw Swordfish today in Game... region free & talladega nights :)

That's a point... saw today - the PS3 console-only is now available in Game for £325 :) Good that they've given that option to people.

I don't get that website... just seems like a very poor referral site with heaps of popups?
That's because it is supposed to be www.movietyme.com (note the missing h)... unless it was just a clever ploy to get around the no competitors rule.

OP, one small point no-one has mentioned is that the 'O' and 'X' buttons are kind of reversed on NTSC machines compared to PAL ones. So you press 'O' to enter and 'X' to go back on NTSC whereas it's the other way around on PAL. A very small point I know, but I just thought you should have all the facts ;)

Wasn't really a problem for me until I started using my UK PSP with it - then got a little confusing but luckily I'm not a woman so I figured it out :)

Thats only the Japanese consoles have X and O reversed, US ones are 'normal' :)

I'd definitely recommend getting one at that price. When it comes to playing games there are no negatives really as they are all region-free and getting imported Blu-Rays is easy via axelmusic.com

got it this afternoon :)

he just chose one at random for me and it was only $20..

But on the back of the game where the rating is and regional stuff it has a picture of a globe and a 1 through it,does that mean it wont work on a UK machine ?

any idea what that markings mean, there's one on the back of the ps3 box aswell
