It means region 1 (or A in blu-ray). Its not really a problem as games are region free, its just relating mainly to blu-ray films and dvds. Some blu-ray films are region free anyway.

Well that's nothing to do with my point, which was about Sony not lowering the price that much officially in Europe.

Yes, but it's worth opening a US and a HK account too so you can get extra demo's n stuff from their regions PS Stores.
