PS3 - what to do...

Basically i habe just been given a ps3 as a present.. but i dont really want it.. yesimtempted by the HTPC or Blue-Ray player aspect but seems a bit extravigant for somthing i dont need as i already have a HTP and x360 and Wii .. ... . .

Soooo... What do ou guys think is it worth keeping for Games, and if not then what else can it do that might change my mind :D
 
Jihad you really depress me with your own brand of inane bs, op you got it for free, won't cost you anything to keep it and it will become more valuable to you as a games machine over the next couple of months and when we reach next years releases it will be an even better machine to own when the AAA titles appear.

And then all those extra uses ( Blu-ray, Media streaming etc ) will just be the icing on the cake.
 
May aswell keep it dude!

You'll probably get one in the future anyway, wouldnt you?

The main reason you should keep it is probably because of the current and upcoming games. I don't see any reason why you wouldn't accept a free PS3.
 
Sell it now as when the good games start coming will it still be worth as much or half what you can get for it now?.If you keep it you can only lose if you sell it's a win win.

then you can weigh in on the "which is better/Which one should I get" threads saying, i own both and .........blah, blah, blah!

Seriously, I'd probably keep it unless you have something else you could use the money for.
 
As you have a 360 and if your not particularly bothered about Blu-Ray just yet, i'd personally sell it now and buy another when there are some more games around that interest you.

Your only going to get the "omg ps3 has no games" if you have a 360 as a lot of the ps3 games are also available on the 360 and mostly have been for a while. People who don't own a 360 i'm sure will be more than satisfied with the current ps3 lineup for the time being...

I got mine for free and still sold it on, I can say what I want I've owned one first hand.

Edit: Also with the UT3 delay my post makes even more sense now, I thought it was common knowledge the PS3 already lacked games pretty badly and UT3 is quite a big sting to the platform.

I feel my post was justified, I just don't see the PS3 being worth keeping solely for games until next year, then believe me it will be.. :p

Well the only thing i could really do with instead is a decent AV amp.. but thats liekly to cost the same (£350 ish) .. but otherwise i am tempted to keep it :)

... ill see :D

Do you think a game store will give me a refund on it if its sealed "as new" present etc?
