PS3 - worth it for £270

I hardly listen to reviews on games. Theyre only a oppinion of 1 guy, something they find crap I may like, so I just take it with a pinch of salt.

Like I said, stats can be used to prove anything you want with the right spin. I think the OP needs to follow his own feelings and I was helping to point out the top PS3 games to see if he's interested in them.

Of course you were. Just helping him see a list of games with a nice little helpful statement of only 3 games above 90%. :p

Rumour says there could be a big price drop in the next few weeks. I would wait and see.
I think the PS3 is definitely worth it. I spend so many hours on it just playing skate and COD4, I have barely touched ratchet and clank or uncharted.

Worth it I guess if you want the Blu Ray, but if you have a PC for FPS etc then nah probably not worthwhile as a games machine, most games on the PS3 are bettered on PC anyway :)

Good grief, OP asks for opinions, did you read his post? FPS on PC he prefers (which you go on to list as reasons to spend), yet as soon as an opinion is posted that you don't like the toys are out the pram? No big deal, I was not the first to say not worth it but I guess you don't feel up to taking on the others :)

I already said if he wants it just for Blu Ray then yes, which is what he is interested in, but again if you read the posts you would see that right. And your opinion on who should be banned or what not is irrelevant, you should have been suspended for emailing competitor details about, but since I am not a mod who am I to question it.

Indeed, but this would be quite hard for you to prove, I mean it's not like you can prove he e-mailed someone from his personal account, unless he e-mailed you :p.

It would be much easier to get that nasty Inoshishi guy banned if he did something really silly and left evidence like sending rude messages on XBL, or posting rude messages on a forum, or signing up someone to things could be tracked to your IP address. That kind of thing will get him Suspended I suspect, but I ain't a mod either so I don't care :D

Original Poster, buy a 40GB PS3, It will be better value for money for you than an equivalent performing standalone player, as long as you play at least 1 or 2 games on it imo.
