PS4 Controller Mods??

Well I dont think I will be using that UK company sent 3 emails wanting a price and zero responce so need to keep looking grrr.
 
Had these on for almost a year now, they have been perfect. It feels like it's a part of the controller.

i have some rubber grips like Raymond that i got when the controller started to shed its skin, just like normal now.

has this issue ever been resolved with newer controllers or are the thumbsticks still peeling on the new ones?

They must have.. Although I am not big into racing games I have racked up a decent amount of hours on my PS4 (Hundreds) and would have certainly happened by now.
 
They fixed the rubber thumbstick issue within 6 months from launch iirc.

A shame as I ordered 12 off ebay in case it happened again.

My R2 broke though from wear and tear recently and i had them replaced around dec/jan time by Sony with the rubber grip issue so it lasted maybe 6 months of use. So these controllers aren't built to the same standard as PS3 ones.

PS3 controllers had completely different revisions. I opened up 3 of them and the earlier models were 10 times better built than later models.

If someone made a proper custom controller (take the circuit out a DS4) and used much better quality parts (triggers, etc). I would definetely pay for that.

A lot of these modded controller companies are asking 4 times the cost of a ds4 just to add some paddles which is a crazy mark up.

Must say ... in 30 years of gaming , the ps4 controller is the first i've knackered in gaming rage .... I hold bf4 to blame :p
 
I have the same rubber grips as Raymond and, in fact, the same controller. With other rubber grips I have tried they move if you have a long and frantic session! These don't.
They are Butterfox thumb grips. You can get them on Amazon for £3.49 for a pack of 6.
 
defeats the point of having buttons on the back then, the buttons on the back are so you can keep your thumbs on the thumb sticks.
 
If its mapped to X for example, but you want it to now be Square, might be possible to just change X to Square system wide, if that works and your getting 4 back buttons it could just work.
