PS4 MOBAs

Seeing this (Battleborn) is out on Tuesday and it's a bank holiday on Monday I wonder if any of the online retailers will be shipping tomorrow?

Hi all

I'm interested in trying some of these games out. I've never really played a MOBA other than a couple of hours here and there on some of the early attempts on PS4.

However, a mate back in the UK played the Battleborn beta heavily and really recommended I get it as him and a few others will be playing it.
I've lost interested in gaming in a lot of respects - so I'd like to try something more 'fun' that doesn't try to be realistic and gritty that involves social teamwork so I can just have a laugh and play,...but i still like something with tactics/strategy - not really casual.

Drop me a FR an i'll try the free ones and pick up Battleborn too.

PSN: FallenEden

I''m on RL and DS3 mostly but will fit these in between those.

:)

Thanks to Buddy (Puki85) for going through the basics during a couple of games on Smite. I'm getting into a lot now so i'll be on regularly. I wanted to get some progress through 2nd run on DS3 this weekend so didn't play too much but I noticed 1 of my friends has been playing for a while and I've got another into it.

So i'd definitely like to get into some teams as often as possible because it's not as much fun with randoms (as is always the way).

I'm not great at it yet obviously as I have no idea what most of the Gods can even do for me or against me but I'm watching Hi-Res YT series about each God and learning as I go.

I've enjoyed playing Ra, but I'm looking for a couple of others to get into for when another player wants to play support/push.

I never tried LoL or Dota on PC as the genre never appealed to me but my tastes have changed over time and I really think i'll get into this quite big.
Seems kind of natural given I grew up on RPGs and RTS.

Good stuff!

Might be on for a late one tonight if you're around. 2 more of us also might be available. Depends what time I get home. I'll drop you a psn message if running late.

I picked up Lao kang. Different play style so getting use to him.

Thursday night can be juicy.

A few suggestions for Gods;

Geb
Athena
Xblanque
Nu Wa
Loki

They're all relatively easy to master and really quite powerful. Geb/Athena are particularly useful - just build loads of protections, accept you won't get many kills and run interference. You'll annoy the hell out of the enemy. Just focus on not dying.

I tried athena - great with her taunt move and generally tanking but unsatisfying as little kills. Great for objective games though.

I might try nu wa out.

I think every God is good if it suits your playstyle.
I have came up against people playing Ao Kuang going 25-2 in Arena and Conquest then I tried him in a Medium practice vs AI and went 6-12 or something.
He just didn't suit me at all but clearly in the right hands he's insane.

I've gotten quite used to Anubis now where i'm now 5x faster at chaining my abilities together for kills and managing my cool downs so I have them ready when needed,
I love his AOE zoning, but if you max it to lvl 5 it does a lot of damage then freeze them in place and super them if they don't die.
I like the combo and how it works - it suits me well.

So i'm now pretty good with Anubis and Ra. I need to find a more tanky character I enjoy paying with though so that's my next step.

Problem is I prefer ranged attacks in general so it's harder to find a tank/warrior I enjoy. I'll keep going through the list

EDIT: First ever game with Arachne and went 12-0-5 with most points so I've found n Assassin that fits me. All my other first attempts with characters went horribly.

I'm officially hooked on this now. Got a regular team of 3 going for some Jousts and had so many great matches. Had 2 major comeback ins in a row Sunday morning with my mates.

I honestly never felt like I'd enjoy the MOBA genre - like many it seemed overwhelming coming at it late but once you do get to grips with the mechanics of the game and the Hero's I can see exactly why it's so popular.
I'll be playing this for a long time.

I was getting so bored of gaming too so this is good timing.

The come backs are so satisfying. I'll be on tonight +1 so should have a full team.

Kills aren't a good measure of skill or effectiveness in this game. It's easy to get loads of kills while being an utter liability to your team. See most AK players for the most obvious example.

I mostly play 3v3 so kills are more important there than the larger modes IMO but of course only when you work with the team to coordinate them. That's why I enjoy the game so much - kills are tactical and planned rather than just randoms running around just out for blood and losing the game for their team.

It feels good to get the deicide when you all time your abilities and attacks together and kill their hole team then take the tower before they respawn.

Our 2 comeback wins we were down about 10-15 kills but we just played it tactically and grinded out the wins with a few clutch plays as a team. If individual kills could win a game it'd be a very boring game.
