Still pondering getting a PSP, I did have one on release and loved it. Or do I skip it and get a PS Vita that can play PSP games anyway and is more powerful for homebrew? Is there anything a PSP can do that a PS Vita can't?

Might rename this to PSP Appreciation Thread or something as it's general chitchat!
I bought a bunch of games for mine when in town today I now have 16 which is probably the most disk games for any platform. Currently playing The Simpsons Game.
Does anyone have a link to a replacement battery that definitely fits the slim as I bought one before and it didn't fit. Also pretty interested in Googling that IPS upgrade as even the later screens are not great tbh (much worse than I remember).
I found my original PSP in the cupboard 1003 model. Battery has expanded and nearly burst itself out of the battery cover so doesn't work. Wondering if it's worth getting a battery and trying to load up some custom firmware to run Isos or emulators. Is there still a lot out there for these?
I sold mine off recently, trying to reign in the number of handhelds I had...
I'd still recommend getting a new battery and getting custom firmware on it though. There are some great games on it, and it can run a good few other systems.
Easily one of the best handhelds ever made.
I still have my white PSP Go. Awesome little system, although i play most of my PSP/PSX games on my OLED Vita now. Some nice mods you an do to the PSP and there is a guy going an open source project called PSPi which is a replacement motherboard to allow the use of a Raspberry Pi in a PSP shell. It looks like a really polished project!
