I think most people issue with the Hyper Type R, lot of them damaged other components when they did explode. Pricing wise a lot were sold at a way too high price point for the product, and they were targeted at gaming rigs.
Cheap no brand PSUs can run for years, I've had one run on a windows 95 system for 14 years. Just don't use them on high power processing/gaming rigs.
