PSU - is this a good one? :)

So in general people are leaning towards that I get the XFX? can spare the extra £7 :P

Well, having owned both I wasn't, but yes most people are.

Hmm, I'd probably go for red cables anyway, are they available? :O

Also, Doomedspeed, I know what you mean, SATA cables do not fold away nicely, they're too rigid :( and the plastic part of the plug sticks out too far :c

I think so, If you go Power supplies > Corsair, and organise by cheapest the cable kits should come up first.

*EDIT*

Think OcUK just has kits for the TX/HX series.

Well I went for a Tagan 900w around 6 years ago because it had good reviews and i liked the look of it (nice coloured lights lol). It did fail after 3 years but as it had a 5 year warranty they sent me a new one and it has been fine since. A good quality PSU will last you a long time especially if it has a 5 year warranty.

900w is more than enough for my current build (single card) but as I used to run 4870 Crossfire I bought something I knew would have enough juice.

If you know 100% you will never go SLI/Xfire a good quality 500w will be enough. Personally I would get 750w + as you never know what you might use in the future

There was a story on here recently of a guy with a Corsair 750w running Xire 7970s. The cards were overlocked and his system was bluescreening. Turned out upgrading to a 800w PSU fixed his issues. When you start overclocking the power demands can ramp up quite quickly :)
