PSU trouble!

Cheaper I know but no where near as decently made.

Did you need the 700W for something? I have a similar spec with the 500W

Not at the time, no.

I did take into account that one day I might get another GTX460 to run in SLI, or maybe upgrade to a more power hungry gfx card.

I also took into account that my next CPU might be partial to a few extra amps.

I assumed that a PSU capable of delivering 700watts would have a more "relaxed" life delivering the ~350watts of my system at full load than a 500watt version.

In other words, I spent a few extra quid in order to future proof my PSU to some degree.
