Just did a pub quiz tonight and a few of the questions I am SURE the landlord got it wrong, which was his version of "right" answers.

What do you guys think?

For example,

1 - How many Tea spoon is in a table spoon?

2 - What is the least number of moves to win a chess match?

We put down

Q1 - 3 tea spoon as

1 teaspoon = 5 ml
1 tablespoon = 15 ml

Where the landlord's answer is 4 ?

Q2 - We put down 4.

Move pawn, Queen, Bishop and the attack with Bishop or Queen. Checkmate.

His answer - 2?

How on earth do you win in 2 moves?

We've had a good one:

In which CITY do Tranmere Rovers play?

Their answer: Birkenhead

Since when was Birkenhead a city?

im pretty sure in the UK 4 tsp 5ml= 1 tbsp 20ml

but i think most chefs use the 15ml tablespoon, most of my English recipe books do anyways

A 15ml 'table spoon' is actually a dessert spoon I believe. A proper table spoon is that little bit deeper and is 20ml.

You cannot win chess in less than 4 moves. 4 moves is the absolute minimum. 2 moves is impossible.

This is demonstrably true.

How is it 4?

You move your pawn, then your queen. 2 moves.
I think he means 4 moves have taken place, although anyone who plays chess or knows the notation knows that it is a 2 move mate.

Or anyone with common sense for that matter.

Ah, get you. It's a matter of semantics rather than a matter of an epic failure of counting :)

You can get higher with fouls but not from a break.

Aero

That doesn't make much sense.

You cannot get higher than a 147 from a break off.

You can get much higher breaks incorporating fouls and referee mistakes.
