Thus far I've been unable to find out what that is, though I noticed that the image on the product listing has the box with Nitro+ on it but the product name says Gaming OC...

Yes, today alone I've banned at least a dozen people from future orders based on being able to track back Facebook and Ebay listings for last week's deals.

The MM deals aren't safe from scalpers unfortunately.

Don't envy your job at all. Imagine wasting time hunting down scalpers when you must have a pile of emails and more important stuff to be doing but unfortunately you have to do it to deter others and catch the people abusing it.

Lots of work required to track these scalpers down unfortunately, when there are better things to be doing. Some might get away with it though, but it seems like plenty of them are a bit dim

It has also cost OcUK quite a bit of money selling the cards at a lower price and staff time involved.

No it did not, the code was never leaked!

The problem here with a public deal is the voucher code got leaked on discord resulting in even none forum members being able to order and no way for us to track them.

At least keeping it private the voucher code remained private and we also stand a better chance of catching the scalpers out, it works better than public deals but is still not 100% scalp proof.

I meant buyers via the MM voucher being caught trying to re-sell, not the code being 'leaked'. It's a public forum, the code was always going to be used by non-forum members, but it speaks more volume when what you consider to be some of your most loyal customers also being caught trying to re-sell cards bought via this system.

What you're doing is fantastic, honestly, but clearly needs some work and i hope you're able to get it right.

i'd be happy if the card i received had a big permanent marker 'X' or 'OCUK' on the front, it would be a simple way to spot the scalper sales/reduce trust in a scalping seller for using a stock photo. take off the film and the 'X' if you like, but then its not new and sealed...?

Sure, I wasn't aware you cannot buy it as a gift. As I have seen in this forum, multiple people have stated they purchased for family members.

It was clearly stated no purchases for friends and family, that is understandable in my opinion, as its a bit funny there is suddenly a flood of people this generation wanting to buy expensive gpus for family.

You should see the HotUkdeal thread about PS5, people looking to buy them for their cousins, brothers, sisters, uncle and 3 kids etc. I think I have seen every possible excuse on the 2k pages of comments.

Imagine being a forum member for years, thousands of posts, only to get banned because you decided to try and rip someone off. Amazing effort by the OCUK team. Commendable efforts ever since the days of 3d printers.
