Pubs open later for VE Day 80th Anniversary

There is a guy in youtube who travels around tasting pints I'm different pubs/bars.

The average seems to be around £8 or £9.

It's the breweries who set the prices. I was friends with a landlord (he owns 5 pubs). When they kept demanding he increased the prices for a while he was subsidising the price increases himself.

It’s almost like the cost of the drink itself is a relatively small factor in the price of a pint and instead pubs are having to raise prices because of rising staff costs, energy prices and other overheads.

no its the tax's placed on pubs, a pint from a shop in not covered buy the same tax rules

This is a stupid idea by the government in any case, as a massive fan of pubs.
Bare minimum vague gesturing towards patriotism, must think people are mugs.
